European Commission-funded programme in Japan for EU managers working for EU manufacturing companies

European Commission-funded programme in Japan for EU managers working for EU manufacturing companies and with knowledge of WCM and an engineering background.

Call for applications for a 5-day training mission in Japan.

- How do you become a World Class Manufacturer?
- Do you need to learn more about KAIZEN manufacturing methods and manufacturing excellence?
- How do you improve cost efficiency and manufacturing capabilities to increase performance?

The EU-Japan Centre is currently inviting applications for two training missions in Japan financed by the European Commission (Directorate General - Enterprise & Industry).

"World Class Manufacturing" is an intensive 5-day training mission in Japan about improvement of productivity, assisting managers and executives from EU companies to acquire a better understanding of how Japanese companies continually eliminate costs from their manufacturing.

In a nutshell, the course brings EU companies closer to WCM performance.
The training course consists of lectures and workshops and European participants are able to visit some of the most advanced Japanese factories to understand the real "Gemba" (the production site), to talk directly with their production managers, and to observe the effective implementation of manufacturing methods. It assists the participants to acquire a better understanding of TQC (Total Quality Control), TQM (Total Quality Management), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), JIT (Just In Time), TIE (Total Industrial Engineering) practices and the current KAIZEN manufacturing methods (continuous improvement).

Two sessions in 2010
1. Training dates: 28 June - 2 July2010
Application deadline: Thursday, 25 March 2010
2. Training dates: 18 - 22 October 2010
Application deadline: Thursday, 10 June 2010
